After a lot of work, I have been able to add a fully functional google map (you can move around on the map, zoom in, etc.). I also figured out how to add a line on the map showing the itinerary - I will add that once I pick a route. Research is ongoing on where I will travel - hopefully I have this figured out before I leave.

To see Aurangabad on the map (that is where Ajanta and Ellora caves are located - pics in first post) - click + on map once to zoom in and then look to the right and slightly above Mumbai.
